Four Tribe Women?s Gymnasts to Compete at NCAA Regional on Saturday

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (April 2, 2013)—After posting outstanding seasons, four members of the William and Mary women's gymnastics team will compete at the Gainesville NCAA Regional on Saturday at 6 p.m. 

Junior Jessica Pritchard and freshman Brittany Stover will vie for the all-around title, while sophomore Brandy Stover and classmate Maggie Lundeen will compete on beam and floor, respectively.

Honored as the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, Brittany Stover enters Saturday's meet ranked 15th in all-around in the Southeast Region with a RQS of 38.755. Her highlights this season included winning the all-around title at the ECAC Championship and breaking the school record in all-around versus Yale (39.150).

Pritchard also ranks among the region's top all-arounders and owns a RQS of 38.630 this season. Selected as the ECAC Co-Gymnast of the Year, she earned all-conference honors on floor and in all-around at the ECAC Championship last weekend. One of her best performances of the season came in the victory against Yale when she established career highs in all-around (39.025), bars (9.850) and floor (9.875). The outstanding all-around score ranks tied for third all-time at W&M, while the bars score ranks tied for seventh in school history.

Brandy Stover enters Saturday's competition ranked 17th on beam in the Southeast Region with a RQS of 9.815. The New Albany, Ind., native garnered first-team all-conference distinction at the ECAC Championship last weekend after placing second. Additionally, she posted a score of 9.825 on beam four times this season.

W&M's school-record holder on floor, Lundeen ranks 16th on floor in the Southeast Region with a RQS of 9.850. Last weekend, she claimed the ECAC individual event title with a 9.925, marking the second time in the last three meets that she recorded the impressive record-setting score.
