Catching up with the CAA Women's Tennis Champions

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - TribeAthletics.com recently caught up with the William and Mary women's tennis program fresh off winning its 22nd Colonial Athletic Association Championship. The Green and Gold cemented its 19th appearance in the NCAA Championship with a 4-0 win over UNCW at the Millie West Tennis Facility on Sunday, April 21.

The Tribe is 17-5 on the year and currently ranked No. 48 nationally in the Campbell's ITA National Rankings released on Tuesday. See what head coach and CAA Coach of the Year Tyler Thomson, junior CAA Player of the Year Maria Belaya and freshman CAA Rookie of the Year Leeza Nemchinov had to say about the Tribe's CAA Championship and the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

The pairings for the 2013 NCAA Regionals will be released via an NCAA.com Selection Show, which will air on Tuesday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. The NCAA Individual Championship selections in both singles and doubles will be released on Wednesday, May 1, at 6 p.m. The 2013 NCAA Championship Regionals will be played on campus sites throughout the country on May 10-13. The final round of the NCAA Championship (Round of 16 through the national championship) as well as the singles and doubles championships will be played ath the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Urbana, Ill., May 16-27.
