WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (April 26, 2013)—After an outstanding performance at the NCAA Championships, William and Mary standout gymnast Landon Funiciello has been selected as the College Gymnastics Association NCAA/USAG Collegiate Division National Gymnast of the Week. It marks the second time this season he has garnered the honor.

Funiciello earned All-America honors at the national meet after placing second on rings with a school-record 15.675. The Baldwinsville, N.Y., native nearly claimed the national title, as Michael Squires of the University of Oklahoma won the event with a 15.775.

Funiciello's honor marked the second time he has earned NCAA All-America distinction, as he placed sixth on rings as a freshman in 2011.
