The William & Mary men's cross country team ran away with the team title at the W&M Invitational, defeating three other teams at Eastern State on Friday night. The Tribe scored a perfect 15 points, out-pacing Christopher Newport, Charlotte, and Norfolk State in the 6K race.

Faris Sakallah (Chantilly, Va.) won the race by a step over senior
Ryan Gousse (Apopka, Fla.), running 18:48.93 to 18:48.94. Senior
Nathaniel Hermsmeier (Charlottesville, Va.) was third in 18:55.19, and
Ryan Thompson (Bristow, Va.) and
AJ Tucker (Durham, N.C.) went sixth and seventh in 19:05.87 and 19:09.17, respectively.
Asher Smith-Rose (Raleigh, N.C.) was 12th in 19:44.33, and
Thomas Vinci (Windsor, N.J.) rounded out the top seven in 20:02.22.
William & Mary is back in action in two weeks, running at the Princeton Inter-Regional on Saturday, Oct. 3.
