Tribe Garners No. 57 Ranking

Williamsburg - The William and Mary men’s tennis team garnered the No. 57 slot in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association computer rankings released on March 25.

The Tribe has spent every week of the 2008 campaign among the top 60 nationally, including a high-water mark of No. 36 on a pair of occasions (Jan. 29 and Feb. 26). The Green and Gold is currently 12-9 on the year and 4-0 in the CAA. The Tribe last competed in the 2008 Blue Gray Classic, March 14-16, and played a trio of top-50 opponents. The College wrapped up the event with a 4-2 upset of then-No. 46 Oklahoma.

W&M will put its perfect league ledger on the line when it travels to Richmond, Va., to battle No. 29 VCU on Friday, March 28. The match is slated for a 3 p.m. start time.
