Williamsburg, Va.
- Recently the College of William and Mary Tribe golf team created "Tribe
Birdies for Breast Cancer" in order to raise charitable donations for The Susan
G. Komen Foundation. All proceeds will
go to The Susan G. Komen Foundation to fund research and educational programs
for Breast Cancer Awareness.
The purpose of "Tribe Birdies for Breast Cancer" is to raise
awareness and funding for the world's largest breast cancer foundation while
showing support for the College of William and Mary golf program.
The Tribe men's golf team has begun to count its birdies
with the start of the spring season. The
William and Mary Tribe women's golf team will join in with the start of the
fall season later this year.
Donations to "Tribe Birdies for Cancer" can be made on a per
birdie basis, and at the end of the season, all the birdies will be totaled and
the donations can be made to The Susan G. Komen Foundation via check or money
order. Flat rate donations can also be made to "Tribe Birdies for Cancer". If you are interested in contributing
to "Tribe Birdies for Breast Cancer" or would like more information, please
email tribebirdiesforbreastcancer@gmail.com
with your name and pledge amount.
