WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Feb. 21, 2012) - After
an outstanding performance at Maryland on Saturday, William and Mary senior
standout Kristin Milardo has been selected as the Eastern Collegiate Athletic
Conference (ECAC) Gymnast of the Week. It marks the second time Milardo has
garnered the ECAC weekly honor this season.
Milardo placed
third overall in all-around at the quad meet, as she posted a
career-high 38.850. The impressive score equaled the seventh-best mark in
school history.
The Colorado
Springs, Colo., native also equaled a career high on bars (9.750) and was the
team's top scorer in the event, while she earned a season-best 9.625 on beam.
Additionally, she placed third among all competitors on vault (9.750) and was
W&M's top scorer in the event.
The Tribe will
return to action this Friday when it competes at N.C. State.
