WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 23, 2012) - The
William and Mary women's gymnastics team will be in search of its fifth Eastern
Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) title when it competes at the league
championships hosted by Penn this Saturday at noon.
In addition to
W&M, Brown, Cornell, Penn, Temple, Towson and Yale will all vie for the
conference title.
The Tribe
enters the meet with the third-best team RQS score (191.555), while it ranks
second on vault (48.260) and third on bars (48.375).
Individually,
senior standout Kristin Milardo ranks second in the conference with an
all-around RQS of 38.790. She recently posted her best career performance last
Friday and earned a career-high 39.000 in a tri-meet against North Carolina
State and Rutgers. The Colorado Springs, Colo., native also ranks second in the
ECAC on vault (9.790) and eighth on bars (9.720).
Sophomore
Jessica Pritchard and freshman Brandy Stover also enter the championship meet
ranked among the league's best in various events. Pritchard ranks eighth in
all-around (38.415), tied for fifth on bars (9.725) and tied for ninth on floor
(9.765), while Stover ranks fourth on beam (9.730).
