WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 28, 2012) - The William
and Mary women's gymnastics team will be represented by multiple gymnasts at
NCAA Regionals for the second-consecutive season, as senior Kristin Milardo and
sophomore Jessica Pritchard will compete as all-arounders at the Fayetteville
Regional on April 7 at 4 p.m. (CT).
Following an
outstanding senior season, this will mark Milardo's second trip to regionals.
As a freshman, she placed 12th in all-around in 2009. The Colorado Springs,
Colo., native currently ranks third in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic
Conference in all-around with a RQS of 38.790, while she ranks second in the
league on vault with an RQS of 9.805.
Milardo's best
performance of the season came against N.C. State and Rutgers on March 16 when
she earned a career-high 39.000 in all-around. The impressive score ranks as
the third-best all-around total in school history.
Milardo's best
event this season was vault where she posted an RQS of 9.805. Additionally, she
earned all-conference honors in the event last weekend with a 9.850, which tied
for the third-best score in school history.
Pritchard will
make her first regional appearance this season after earning an all-around RQS
of 38.415.
The Gibsonia,
Pa., native's best performance of the year came in the regular-season finale
again Temple when she recorded an all-around total of 38.950
Pritchard
excelled on bars this season and garnered first-team All-ECAC distinction last
weekend with a 9.800.
