Whiteford is the highest ranked CAA men's tennis player, garnering the No. 75 spot in the latest Campbell's ITA National Tennis Rankings released on Tuesday. He was ranked as high as No. 34 nationally following the fall season and owns a 12-7 record on the year. During the fall campaign, the Tribe junior claimed the program's first ITA Atlantic Region Singles Championship, upsetting a trio of nationally ranked foes during the event. He downed No. 18-ranked Jarmere Jenkins of Virginia in the championship match to advance to the ITA National Indoor Championships.

He also is the fifth Tribe player to earn All-CAA First Team honors multiple times in a career. It marks the 12th straight season in which the Green and Gold has produced a First-Team All-CAA player in singles and the 38th time a W&M player has been selected all-league in singles under head coach Peter Daub.
