William and Mary men's swimming continued competition on Tuesday at the U.S. Olympic Trials, with two athletes swimming the prelims of the 100m backstroke.  Incoming freshman Will Manion (Haddonfield, N.J.) tied for 91st overall in 57.96 seconds, while rising senior Sidney Glass (Mechanicsville, Va.) finished 118th in 58.79 seconds.

Glass' appearance at the Olympic Trials, his first, wraps up a terrific year for one of the team's leaders.  He won 10 races in 2011-12 and was a finalist in all three of his events at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, including a fifth-place showing in the 100y back.  Swimming on the Tribe's sprint relays, Glass helped break the school records in both the 200 free and 200 medley relays, while earning a bronze medal and all-conference recognition on the former.

Manion joins the Tribe as a five-time prep All-American at Haddonfield Memorial HS, where he also won the New Jersey state championship in the 100y backstroke as a senior.  A prospective business major, Manion was also named a Scholastic All-American by USA Swimming this past year.

William and Mary's stay in Omaha will continue this week, with rising junior Andrew Strait (Henrico, Va.) competing Thursday morning in the 200m breaststroke and on Friday in the 200m IM.
