WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William and Mary recently welcomed back a former assistant into the head coaching position of the Tribe women's tennis program in
Tyler Thomson. TribeAthletics.com sat down with Thomson to discuss his return to Williamsburg and the special place that is William and Mary. Thursday's video segment is the first of a two-part series.
Thomson spent four seasons with the Tribe from 1997-01,
before moving into a head coaching position at the University of Minnesota. He
led the Golden Gopher program for 11 seasons before returning to W&M as its
ninth head women's tennis coach on June 21. During his time in Minneapolis,
Thomson led Minnesota to 111 victories and the program's first Big Ten
Championship in 2003.
