WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - In
a new series featuring the William and Mary women's basketball team,
TribeAthletics.com sat down with the program's student-athletes to discuss
their summer and various other topics.
In the second edition of Catching up With Tribe Women's Basketball, fans
get the chance to know a little more about senior Chanel Murchison and
sophomore MacKenzie Morrison.
A fifth-year senior from Stafford, Va.,
Murchison is regarded as the Tribe's vocal leader and best defender. Last season, Murchison scored a career-high
seven points at Richmond and pulled down a career best eight rebounds at George
Mason.
A native of Norwalk, Iowa, Morrison saw
action in five games last season, before an injury ended her freshman campaign. Morrison tallied her first career points
against Longwood. She ended her freshman
year registering four points, five rebounds and one steal.
