WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - In a new series featuring the William and Mary women's basketball team, TribeAthletics.com sat down with the program's student-athletes to discuss their summer and various other topics. In the second edition of Catching up With Tribe Women's Basketball, fans get the chance to know a little more about senior Chanel Murchison and sophomore MacKenzie Morrison.
A fifth-year senior from Stafford, Va., Murchison is regarded as the Tribe's vocal leader and best defender. Last season, Murchison scored a career-high seven points at Richmond and pulled down a career best eight rebounds at George Mason.
A native of Norwalk, Iowa, Morrison saw action in five games last season, before an injury ended her freshman campaign. Morrison tallied her first career points against Longwood. She ended her freshman year registering four points, five rebounds and one steal.
