An honorable mention CAA All-Academic team selection … Named the winner of the Mark Batzel Award, given to the player that displays leadership, determination, mental toughness and heart, while having the ability to instill those qualities in his teammates, and the Arete Award, which is awarded to the Tribe player with the top grade point average … Started on Senior Night vs. James Madison (3/2) and finished with a rebound and an assist … Scored the first five points of his collegiate career against Salisbury (12/21) … Knocked down a 3-pointer from the right side, before finishing on a lay-up in transition … Made his CAA debut for the Green and Gold off the bench at James Madison (2/6) … Saw the first action of his Tribe career at High Point (11/17) … Joined the basketball program as a walk-on in the fall of 2012.
Junior Season (2012)
Appeared on the mound in six games earning the starting nod twice ... Finished the season with a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 0.00 ... Recorded seven strikeouts and surrendered no earned runs in 11.1 innings of work ... Nothced the victory over George Washington (March 7) after striking out three and allowing no runs in four innings of action ... Saw an inning of work against Longwood (May 14), allowing just one hit on no runs.
Sophomore Season (2011)
Made 11 appearances on the mound with four starts ... Posted a record of 3-0 with a 5.09 ERA ... Struck out 27 batters in 35.1 innings pitched ... Against Duke on March 9, pitched six innings striking out four to earn his first win of the season ... Also earned victories on the road against George Washington and Norfolk State ... Struck out a season-high five batters against the Spartans, as well as Towson on May 20.
Freshman Season (2010)
Threw a complete-game shutout, striking out nine, versus Quinnipiac (March 14) ... Led the College with 12 starts ... Walked 18 batters, fewest among Tribe starters ... Held opposing batters to a .284 average, third-best on the team ... Gave up three runs over six innings against Delaware (March 28) ... Shutout UMES over six innings while striking out six (February 21) ... Only allowed one run over five innings versus VCU (April 4) ... Held Seton Hall to two runs over five innings (March 7).
Three-year letterwinner in basketball ... First-Team All-Prep selection in basketball as a junior and senior ... First-team all-state selection as a senior ... Had his number 33 basketball jersey retired at St. Anne’s Belfield ... Three-time First Team All Prep League selection in baseball ... Went 20-2 for his career with 187 K in 161 innings and a 1.87 ERA ... Also hit .365 for his career ... A First-Team All-State and First-Team Daily Progress All Central Region selection his junior and senior seasons in baseball ... As a senior, went 8-0 with 67 Ks and a 1.35 ERA...Batted .430 as a senior, going 14-for-14 in stolen bases ... Selected First Team Academic All State as a senior ... Senior Class President.
