W&M Women's Soccer Opens CAA Schedule vs. James Madison

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William and Mary women's soccer team will open Colonial Athletic Association play on Sunday, Sept. 23, when its hosts James Madison at Martin-Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field.  The contest is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start and fans can follow the action online at TribeAthletics.com with live video and stats.

Scouting the Tribe
The Green and Gold enter Sunday's match with the Dukes boasting an overall record of 6-3.  In Thursday night's contest against VCU, freshman Nicole Baxter put the College ahead, 1-0, with a goal in the seventh minute.  However, VCU scored the night's final two goals en route to the win.  Entering CAA play, the Green and Gold is tied with Drexel for most wins in the conference with six.  Leading the way offensively for the Tribe is senior Mallory Schaffer, who leads the league with 16 points and seven goals.

Scouting the Dukes
The JMU Dukes come to Williamsburg with a mark of 3-6 and a CAA record of 1-0 after they drubbed Old Dominion, 5-0, in its league opener on Thursday.  The Dukes rebounded nicely against the Monarchs after dropping an overtime match to Charlotte, 2-1, on the previous Sunday.  Redshirt-senior Kelly Germain leads JMU with three goals and three assists, while junior Lauren Wilson has netted three scores and two helpers.
