WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William and Mary women's soccer team will hit the road this weekend for a pair of Colonial Athletic Association matches.  On Friday, the Tribe will travel to Delaware for a 7 p.m. match before heading to Drexel on Sunday, for a contest slated to begin at 1 p.m. Fans can follow the action online at TribeAthletics.com with live stats.  Additionally, fans can watch the Drexel match for free courtesy of DrexelDragons.com.

Scouting the Tribe
The College enters the weekend riding a five-game winning streak and owns an overall record of 11-3.  In CAA play, W&M sits atop the standings with a mark of 5-0, as it has outscored league foes, 13-2.  Last Sunday, the Green and Gold recorded a 2-1 victory at Georgia State behind freshman Barbara Platenberg's two goals.  Senior Mallory Schaffer leads W&M with 20 points coming on nine goals and two assists, while classmate Cortlyn Bristol has tallied four goals and a team-high 10 assists.  Junior Dani Rutter continues an impressive campaign as the York, Pa., native has netted four goals to go along with three assists.

Scouting Delaware
Delaware entertains the College on Friday night with an overall record of 7-6 and a CAA mark of 4-2.  The Blue Hens started league play with four straight wins, outscoring its opponents 6-2 over that stretch, but have since dropped its last two by a combined score of 5-1, which included a 2-0 setback to Northeastern last Sunday.  Senior Ali Miller leads UD with 12 points coming on six goals, while classmate Anna Lenczyk has tallied three goals and one assist.  Head coach Scott Grzenda is in his 23rd season at the helm of the Delaware program.

Scouting Drexel
Before hosting the Tribe on Sunday, Drexel will take its three-game winning streak, 10-2-2 overall record and 4-1-1 CAA ledger to Old Dominion for a Thursday afternoon match against the Monarchs.  For the year, the Dragons are unbeaten, 4-0-1, at Vidas Field, which is the home of Drexel soccer.  Freshman Gabby Dixon leads the Dragons with nine points coming on three goals and three assists, while senior Alex Vazquez has netted three scores and one assist.  Sophomore keeper Eve Badana leads the CAA with a goals against average of 0.65.   Drexel is coached by Ray Goon, who is in his 16th season at the helm of the Dragons' program.   

News and Notes:
- Friday night's match will mark the 14th meeting between W&M and Delaware, as the Tribe leads the all-time series, 9-1-3.  Last season, the Tribe posted a pair of 2-1 victories over the Blue Hens, which included a triumph in the 2011 CAA Tournament semifinals.

- The match at Drexel will be W&M's 11th meeting against the Dragons, as the Tribe leads the series, 10-0.  In 2011, the Green and Gold defeated Drexel, 2-0, at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field behind goals from senior Erin Liberatore and junior Dani Rutter.   

- On Monday, senior Cortlyn Bristol and freshman Barbara Platenberg were recognized nationally and by the Colonial Athletic Association for their efforts on the pitch last week.  After finishing the week with four assists, which included a career-high three against UNCW, Bristol was named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week.  Meanwhile, Platenberg was tabbed as the CAA Rookie of the Week after netting two goals, her first collegiately, in the win at Georgia State.

- On Oct. 9, Bristol was named to Soccer America's National Team of the Week (Sept. 24-30) after connecting on the game-winning goals against George Mason and Towson, which included an assist versus the Tigers.

-  In the latest NSCAA poll, the Tribe ranks just outside the Top 25 and leads unranked teams in receiving votes.  In the NSCAA regional rankings, the Green and Gold is ranked No. 1 among Mid-Atlantic teams.  The College continues to climb Top Drawer Soccer's weekly ranking of the nation's Top 64 teams as the Green and Gold is currently ranked 29th.
