ARLINGTON, Va. - A total of at least 10 William and Mary
men's basketball games for the 2012-13 season have been selected for
television, the CAA announced at its annual media day on Tuesday. The
Green and Gold TV slate includes eight appearances on the Comcast family of
networks to go along with a pair of ESPN3 contests.
The Tribe's first two broadcast games
of 2012 will be on ESPN3 against major conference foes Wake Forest and Purdue.
The College travels to Winston-Salem, N.C., to face the Demon Deacons at 7
p.m., on Friday, Nov. 23, in a contest that will air on ESPN3. The Green and
Gold's Saturday, Dec. 29, date at Big Ten foe Purdue will be shown on ESPN3 at
2 p.m.
W&M's third non-conference TV game
will be at defending SEC Champion Vanderbilt on Wednesday, Jan. 2. Tip-off is
slated for 8 p.m. ET and will be shown on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast
(CSS).
Six of the Tribe's regular season CAA games will be
televised on the Comcast family of networks, including four home affairs. The
College's match-up with George Mason in Williamsburg on Saturday, Jan. 5, will
be shown on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA), Philadelphia (CSN-P) and
New England (CSN-NE) as well as Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS).
Tip-off between W&M and Mason is slated for 2 p.m. in Kaplan Arena.
On Saturday, Jan. 19, the Tribe will
host Drexel in a televised game at Kaplan Arena. The match-up between the
College and the preseason CAA favorite Dragons will be shown on Comcast
SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA) and New England (CSN-NE)
as well as Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and The
Comcast Network Philadelphia (TCN-P). The contest will
carry at 2 p.m. tip time.
W&M will have televised home games against Hofstra on
Saturday, Feb. 2, and James Madison on Saturday, March 2, as well. The
Tribe-Pride tilt, which is slated for noon, will be televised on Comcast
SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA) and Philadelphia (CSN-P) as well as
Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and the Madison Square Garden Network
(MSG). W&M's season finale against James Madison will tip at 6 p.m. and be
carried on both Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA) and New England
(CSN-NE).
The College's road games in back-to-back weeks at Old
Dominion on Feb. 16 and George Mason on Feb. 23 will be televised on the
Comcast family of networks. The Tribe's game at ODU will tip at noon and be shown
on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA), Philadelphia (CSN-P) and New
England (CSN-NE) as well as Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). The game in
Fairfax against the Patriots carries a 4 p.m. tip time and can ben seen on
Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA) and New England (CSN-NE) as well as
Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and The Comcast Network Philadelphia
(TCN-P).
The entirety of the CAA Championship, March 9-11, at the
Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Va., will be televised. The quarterfinals on
Saturday, March 9, will be shown on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA) and
New England (CSN-NE) as well as The Comcast Network Philadelphia (TCN-P). Both
the semifinals and championship game will be televised nationally on the NBC
Sports Network.
All W&M men's and women's basketball home games will be
shown live over TribeAthletics.com. Games already selected for television will
be subject to black out in certain areas. The Tribe Athletics TV package will
be $10.95 for a month, $39.95 for four months and $69.95 for 12 months.
