William and Mary senior Jeremy Wells (Hopewell, Va.) earned his second Golfer of the Week honor from the Colonial Athletic Association Thursday, after leading the Tribe at the Georgetown Invitational this week. He was previously honored on Sept. 26, after placing fourth at the Joe Agee Invitational.
Playing at the Members Club at Four Streams on Monday and Tuesday, Wells shot 69-72-70 (211, -2). His score was the best tournament of the season for the senior, and placed him third overall. Through four tournaments this fall, Wells' average of 71.67 strokes per round is below the school-record average set by Brent Paladino '09 in 2007-08 (71.87).
The Tribe brings its fall to a close this weekend, playing at the Kiawah Island Invitational Sunday-Tuesday.
