The William and Mary women's golf team brought its fall season to a close Sunday, bouncing back in the final round of the Lady Paladin Intercollegiate to shoot 313 (+25) and improved to an eighth-place finish. Chattanooga had three players in the top-five to claim the team victory in the 14-team field at 896 (+32), including medalist Marion Duvernay at 219 (+3).
Freshman
Tina Chang (Mineola, N.Y.) finished atop the Tribe's leaderboard, shooting 79 Sunday to finish the tournament tied for 21st at 233 (+17). Senior
Betsy Birchall (Mountain Brook, Ala.) had the best round of the weekend with her 74 (+2), improving to a tie for 23rd at 234 overall. Sophomore
Kellie Edelblut (New Hope, Pa.) had a solid round of 78 herself, and tied for 30th overall at 236. Freshman
Alessandra Liu Cynwyd, Pa.) and senior
Katy Hutcherson (Greeneville, Tenn.) each turned in a score of 82 on Sunday, finishing tied for 61st and 69th, respectively. Sophomore
Anna McMullen (Monroe, La.), competing as an individual, shot 78 (+6) and improved to a tie for 58th in the final standings.
With the fall schedule now complete, William and Mary's next tournament will come Feb. 17-18, at the Jim West Classic in Blanco, Texas.
