WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Tribe fans will once again have the
chance to catch up on William and Mary men's basketball with the fourth year of
the 'Luncheon with Tony' series. The monthly luncheons featuring head coach
Tony Shaver will
be held at The Cove Restaurant in Williamsburg and gives fans an inside look at
Tribe basketball. The first event is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 13, at noon.
'Luncheon
with Tony' events are schedule for select Tuesdays each month during the season at
noon. Following the first event, the other three dates will be
Dec. 18, Jan. 22 and Feb. 19. The luncheon will include a buffet for $11. The Cove Restaurant, which opened in
October of 2011, is located at 3701 Strawberry Plains Road. The 'Luncheon with Tony' series provides fans the opportunity to get Coach Shaver's thoughts on the Tribe's
season and upcoming games as well as talk W&M basketball with select Tribe
players and the Green and Gold coaching staff.
The Tribe opened the 2012-13 season with a 69-51 victory
over Hampton on Friday night at Kaplan Arena. W&M returns to
action on Monday, Nov. 12, when it travels to Liberty at 7 p.m. The game will
be televised on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) and will also be
available over the Internet at
ESPN3.
Tribe fans can follow the action on the Tribe Radio Network with Jay Colley,
Charlie Woollum and Bill McDonald on the call. The Tide 92.3 FM in Williamsburg
is the flagship station of the Tribe Radio Network and the broadcast can also
be heard on TribeAthletics.com.
