William and Mary sophomore Megan Howard (McLean, Va.) was named the women's co-Swimmer of Week Tuesday by the Colonial Athletic Association, after recording two firsts and two seconds Saturday against East Carolina.  This is the first weekly award of Howard's career, and the first for W&M since Katie Radloff '10 was honored on February 2, 2010.

Against the Pirates, Howard claimed victory in the 50 free and also helped the 200 free relay come very near breaking the pool record.  She touched the wall first in the 50 with a time of 24.15 seconds, and replicated that effort on her lead-off of the 200 free relay.  Howard also swam second in the 100 fly, timing 57.19 seconds, and swam the fly leg of the Tribe's second-place 400 medley relay.  For the season, Howard leads the team with 112.25 points, and has placed in the top three of all 15 individual races she's competed in.

Howard and her teammates continue the fall season this weekend, competing at the Hokie Fall Invitational from Thursday-Saturday.
