Tribe Field Hockey and Lacrosse Read at New Kent Elementary

Student-athletes from the William and Mary field hockey and lacrosse teams recently spent the day in nearby New Kent, reading to kindergarten and second-grade students at New Kent Elementary School as part of the Tribe's continuing commitment to giving back to the community.  The day's activity were planned by NKES librarian Michelle Prough and W&M head field hockey coach Peel Hawthorne '80.  Athlete who took part included (from field hockey) junior Chaney Manganello (Richmond, Va.), sophomores Lindsey Buckheit (East Greenwich, R.I.) and Taylor Gladey (Mountaintop, Pa.), and freshman Maddy Moore (Norfolk, Va.); and from the lacrosse team, freshmen Michelle Goss (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Kelly Martins (McLean, Va.).
