Scouting the Tribe
The College enters the contest against the Tigers with an overall record of 2-14 and a CAA ledger of 0-5.  In its last out on Sunday, W&M led Drexel for the majority of the first half, but the Dragons rallied for the victory.  Senior Janine Aldridge led the Green and Gold attack with 16 points, four steals and three assists.

For the year, senior Emily Correal is pouring in a team-high 16.8 ppg to go along with 8.4 rebounds per outing, which rank fourth and fifth in the CAA, respectively.  Aldridge's 3.4 3-pointers made per contest rank fourth nationally, while her 51 made 3-pointers lead the league. The Massapequa, N.Y., native is the Tribe's all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 272, which also ranks seventh most in CAA history.

W&M's 62.4 points per game rank seventh in the CAA, while its 11.3 steals per contest rank 42nd nationally and second in the league.  Furthermore, of the Tribe's 359 made field goals this season, 236 have been accounted for with assists, giving the Green and Gold an average of 14.8 per outing, which ranks third in the CAA.  From 3-point range, the Tribe has netted 100 treys on the season, which is second most in the league, only behind Northeastern (135).   

Scouting the Tigers
Under the direction of 10th-year head coach Joe Mathews, Towson travels to Williamsburg with a record of 6-10 and an 0-5 mark in league play.  In its last outing, Towson fell at Delaware, 76-44, as junior Tanisha McTiller paced the Tigers with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

McTiller's 17.6 ppg leads the CAA, while her 7.6 rebounds per outing stand in ninth.  Furthermore, the Chicago, Ill., native ranks third in the league in assists (59) and steals (40).  Senior Michelle Peebles is netting 9.1 ppg to go along with a team-best field goal percentage of .492 (60-of-122).  Junior Nyree Williams, who is Towson's top shot blocker, ranks seventh in the CAA with 1.3 blocks per game.  Williams is also scoring 6.9 ppg to go along with 6.7 rpg.

As a team, Towson ranks ninth in the CAA in scoring (56.2) and eighth in scoring defense (63.7).  Defensively, the Tigers are collecting 36.2 rebounds per outing, which ranks second in the league.  Overall, TU ranks fifth in the conference with a rebounding margin of +2.1.    

News and Notes:
- Thursday night's game will be the 21st meeting between W&M and Towson, as the College owns a 12-8 series advantage.  Last season, the Tigers edged the Tribe in both regular season contests by a combined total of eight points.

- Sophomore Anna Kestler is finding her niche as the Green and Gold's premier point-guard.  The Pittsburgh, Pa., native has dished out 47 assists on the season compared to only 25 turnovers, which gives her an assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7), which ranks fifth in the CAA.

- The Tribe's home contest against Northeastern, which was originally slated for Thursday, Feb. 14, has now been moved to Friday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m.  The Comcast family of networks will still televise the contest against the Huskies.  The game will be aired on Comcast Sports Network Mid-Atlantic (CSN-MA) and the Comcast Sports Network New England (CSN-NE). 

- The William and Mary women's basketball team will host its annual Breast Cancer Awareness game "Hoops for a Cure" on Friday, Feb. 15, against Northeastern at 8 p.m.  Admission to the contest will be free of charge for fans who wear pink.  Promotional t-shirts will go on sale prior to Feb. 15 and can be purchased at upcoming men's basketball home games or by calling the W&M Women's Basketball Office at 757-221-3140.  T-shirts will be sold for the price of $10 for students and $15 for adults.  This year's "Hoops for a Cure" game against the Huskies will be televised on Comcast Sports Network Mid-Atlantic and the Comcast Sports Network New England.

Senior Janine Aldridge, who is the College's all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 272, is closing in on W&M's career steals record.  The Massapequa, N.Y., native is just 34 thefts shy of passing Jen Sobota '03 for the all-time mark (257).  In the College's outing at Northeastern, Aldridge set a career-high with seven steals against the Huskies.  This season, Aldridge is averaging 2.6 steals per game, which stands third in the CAA.
