Tribe Golf Begins Third Year of Birdies for Breast Cancer

The William and Mary women's golf team is proud to announce the beginning of its third year running the "Tribe Birdies for Breast Cancer" donation effort.  Since its beginning in the Spring of 2011, the Tribe has raised more than $20,000 for breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Contributions to the "Tribe Birdies for Breast Cancer" can be made either as a single donation, or on a per-birdie basis.  To make a single donation, please visit the TBBC webpage at www.infokomen.org/goto/tribebirdies and follow the "Donate" link.

To make a per-birdie pledge, please email your name and pledge amount to tribebirdiesforbreastcancer@gmail.com.  Pledges are based on the total number of birdies the Tribe women's team will make during the spring tournament season.  For example, if the donor pledges $0.25 per birdie and W&M makes 200 birdies, the donor agrees to make a $50 donation to TBBC.  At the end of the season, all donors will be informed of how well the Tribe has played, and how much each pledge is then worth.

The Tribe women's golf team opens the spring tournament season this weekend, playing at the Jim West Challenge on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 17-18.  To follow along with the birdie totals all season, follow us on Twitter at @tribe_birdies.
