William and Mary freshman Dessi Koleva (Torrance, Calif.) was named Rookie of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association Monday, after leading the Tribe volleyball team in two conference matches last weekend.  It is the third honor of the last four weeks for Koleva, who is the only freshman in the league so far this season to be honored more than once.

Koleva led the Tribe offensively on its weekend trip, averaging 3.11 kills and 3.33 points per set as W&M split matches with Hofstra and Northeastern.  In Friday's win over the Pride, Koleva had a team-high 15 kills while hitting .323, and added nine digs and three blocks.  Sunday against the Huskies, Koleva scored 13 kills (the most of any player on either team) and added 12 digs for the double-double while hitting .385.  For the season, she ranks second on the team in kills, digs, and points, while also ranking among the top five in hitting percentage and blocks.

W&M returns to the court on Tuesday night, playing at Norfolk State at 6 p.m. in the final non-conference match of the year.
