WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - With the regular season less than two weeks away, the William and Mary women's basketball team will host Mary Washington on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in an exhibition contest. The game will be held at Kaplan Arena and tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The exhibition is opened to the public and admission is free of charge.
The Tribe returns 11 letterwinners from last year's squad that posted victories over Atlantic Coast Conference and Big East opponents. Seniors Emily Correal and Janine Aldridge will lead a five-member senior class for the College in 2012-13. Correal, who earned preseason All-CAA accolades, averaged 13.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per outing from last season, while Aldridge has drained 221 career 3-pointers, a school-record, which included a W&M single-season record of 92 last year.

Last year, the Eagles posted a record of 30-1 and finished the year ranked seventh in the nation after falling in the D-III NCAA Tournament Sectional Finals. Mary Washington is coached by 10th-year head coach Deena Applebury and returns three starters from last season's team.
The Tribe will open the 2012-13 season on Friday, Nov. 9, as it plays hosts to East Carolina. Tip-off from Kaplan Arena is slated for 7 p.m., and fans can follow the action online at TribeAthletics.com with live audio and stats.
