Wesley Drew returns for her second year on the Tribe sidelines in 2011, assisting in all aspects of running W&M's nationally-competitive field hockey program.  Her duties include developing practice plans, game-day coaching, and recruiting.

Drew finished her four years in uniform in 2009 with an invitation to the NFHCA North-South Senior All-Star Game, and repeat selections as a first-team All-CAA and all-state midfielder as well as her first all-region honor. She led the Tribe with five assists and added three goals, totaling 19 assists in her career to tie for third in school history.

In her junior year, Drew had an astonishing 10 assists, the third-most in school history, and was named to the CAA Championships all-tournament team as well as first-team all-conference and all-state. In 2006, she was an all-rookie selection in the CAA after scoring three goals and helping W&M to a pair of victories over nationally ranked foes, and 10 wins overall. Off the field, she was equally impressive, earning the CAA Commissioner's award each of her final three years.

A native of Virginia Beach, Drew came to the College from Frank W. Cox High School, and graduated in 2010 with dual degrees in psychology and kinesiology.  Her interests beyond coaching include conservation efforts with great apes, and she spent time in the summer of 2011 volunteering at an orangutan sanctuary in Indonesia.  Behind her leadership, the Tribe field hockey team raised several hundreds of dollars for the sanctuary, and now sponsors the care of two young male orangutans.
