It's hard to believe that this is my last and final blog entry for Tribe gymnastics-seems like just yesterday I was starting off the summer blog and writing about my relaxing summer spent at home and on multiple vacations. My summer plans are still pretty similar to those that I had an entire year ago-I am taking another vacation to Hawaii next week, and I have been going to lots of baseball games still. But just one thing has changed since my last summer blog entry-I am now a William and Mary ALUMNA! This season truly flew by for me. After we kicked things off at GW the weeks just seemed to roll by and before I knew it, I was saluting for the last time at USAG event finals at the University of Bridgeport. My final weekend of competition is one I will remember for the rest of my life. Finishing fourth in the AA at my last competition and last USAG's was an amazing feeling and an amazing accomplishment. I also had the most memorable and perhaps best vault of my collegiate career where I stuck my landing perfectly-a feeling and moment I will never forget.

Once USAG's was over and we returned home from Bridgeport, time certainly flew by! Finals and the last days of classes and an undergraduate were a whirlwind and before I knew it I was receiving my diploma! What an amazing feeling! (I just wish it was in English and I could read it!) Graduation weekend was beautiful, with perfect weather and the perfect people to share it with-friends and family!

Saying goodbye to Tribe gymnastics is bittersweet, however I am eager to be a part of Tribe gymnastics as an alumna and as a supporter. I won't be away from the sport of gymnastics for too long though, as I am excited to announce that I will be coaching club gymnastics at Richmond Olympiad in Richmond, Va. Although my time as a gymnast at William and Mary has come to a close, I will forever remember and cherish all of my memories I've shared with everyone here, and gymnastics will always be my one true passion. Girls, enjoy every single moment-every single practice, every team dinner, every competition, because it goes by in the blink of an eye.

We are, and forever will be, ONE TRIBE, ONE FAMILY.

The Tribe just returned from the Sweetheart Invitational in Raleigh this past weekend, a quad meet that included NC State, Penn State, and George Washington.  Posting our second-best score of the season, the competition went really well! The team started the meet off solid earning a season-best on beam (47.575), where Kristin also earned her season-high of a 9.575. On floor Jess led the team with another clean set and Kristin nailed her full-in again! On vault the Tribe posted more individual season-bests with Kristin's 9.8 and Stacia's 9.625. Finishing up on bars, the Tribe was led by Carleigh's solid routine that earned a career high of 9.8 and Larson, Maggie, and Kristin all also contributed to ending the day on a good note.

The Tribe will be back in the gym again this week working hard to clean up every little detail as we prepare for another quad meet this weekend at Maryland! Continually improving each day, we are all excited to keep building as a team throughout this season!

After a great performance last week at UNC, early this week junior, Caitlyn Cook Furr, was awarded the ECAC Coaches Choice Award! With this being her first season with Tribe Gymnastics we are extremely proud of Caitlyn for all she has done for the team this year!

This past weekend the Tribe travelled to the University of Pittsburgh, competing in a quad meet against Pitt, George Washington, and Rutgers. The meet went extremely well, and the Tribe ended up finishing with our highest team score of the season so far with a 191.825! As well as a season high team score we also had our season high scores on all four events! The Tribe finished out the meet on bars with an incredible performance hitting six for six routines! The energy level of the team continuously built after each event and we were really able to pull everything together. It was great to end the meet on such a high note! As well as a great team performance, there were many individual standout performances. On vault the Tribe had four career high scores and one season high as well from our senior, Kristin Milardo with a 9.775. Freshmen Maggie Lundeen and Brandy Stover also did a great job on bars and beam! Maggie had the Tribe's highest bar score with a 9.7 and Brandy nailed her beam routine scoring a 9.75! Also Jess Pritchard had a career high on floor with a 9.775. Be sure to check our facebook page to see all of the routines from this weekend!

This week we will be back in the gym for a full week of practice gearing up for our upcoming meet at NC State this Saturday! The team is looking better with each and every practice, and we are looking forward to building on this past meet and improving even more throughout the rest of the season!

The Tribe just got back from a dual meet at UNC this past weekend and got our season high of 189.45! We also got our season-high scores on bars and floor. The videos from the meet are already up on our Facebook page, be sure to check them out! Jess Pritchard had an awesome meet with a 38.35 all-around score and earned third place overall. Senior Kristin Milardo also competed a full in on floor for the first time and it was so sick!

Our next competition is at Pitt this weekend. Everyone is back in the gym working hard to go out and dominate on Saturday! As the team is getting more into competition season our routines are looking better and better with each practice. Yay Tribe!

Good Luck this weekend!

The season has started and Tribe Gymnastics is off to a solid start! Our first competition took place at George Washington University with four other visiting teams: North Carolina, Cornell, Penn, and Temple. The Tribe took fifth place, missing third place by only two tenths of a point.  Be sure to check out William and Mary's Women's Gymnastics Facebook page for videos from the meet! Senior, and Captain, Kristin Milardo led the Tribe, winning third place in the all-around. Kristin has also received the title of ECAC Gymnast of the Week. Great work, Kristin!

The team had a great time during winter break training. We spent a lot of time together in and out of the gym bonding. However, classes are back in session this week, and the Tribe is getting back into a routine schedule and is ready for another successful semester!

Everyone is working extremely hard and cleaning up their routines to fight for those few extra tenths everywhere! We continue to have pressure sets on each event throughout the week to simulate and gear up for our next upcoming meet. This Saturday, the Tribe will be traveling to Maryland to compete against Towson and Alaska Anchorage on Sunday, January 22 at 1:00pm! One more practice to go!

'Tis the season, competition season that is! Tribe gymnastics kicked off their winter break training last Monday. There has been tons of great gymnastics, and co-captain Molly Walsh has officially been cleared from her surgery to come back to train, yay! It has been so much fun being back in Williamsburg and bonding together as a team. Everyone has been working so hard, and pushing themselves in being routine ready for season, and I think we can all agree the ice baths have become our new best friends, haha. The practices, overall, have been filled with routines, as we are gearing up for our first meet at GW Sunday January 7th at 1 pm. Pressure sets began on Thursday, starting with beam, which can be checked out on the William and Mary

Facebook page!  Also, the floor squad went to World Class on Friday to train full sets, which helped us gain more experience for our meet season. As we head into week two, five practices to go, we are looking at pressure sets on bars Monday and a meet simulation on Tuesday. The team is getting excited for a busy, yet exciting season to come. I know I couldn't be more excited to put all of our hard work together and show it off. I am also excited for all the freshmen to start their college gymnastics season. Less than one week to go!

With only a few days left of winter break before heading back to Williamsburg, the Tribe is gearing up for what the 2012 season will hold! Everyone has been enjoying time at home with family and friends, getting some much needed rest, and some even getting a little holiday traveling in!  Since the new year is right around the corner, we are really enjoying this downtime before a busy competition season!

The Tribe has been hitting the gym, keeping up with our strength and cardio, while also practicing to perfect the routines we showcased at our Green & Gold Intrasquad. From what I've heard, everyone's training over break has been going really well! In particular, freshman Stacia Ruse has been able to start her progression back into all events over break after a knee injury, and I saw her do some amazing beam sets!

The team will return back to our second home, our gym in W&M Hall, for practice on January 2nd and we couldn't be more ready to go! It will be great to practice with the team again, and even more exciting to see our freshmen get excited to experience their first college meet! I am definitely looking forward to our bus trip to GW with all of them in just a few weeks. Be sure to come to the Lindsey Ferris Invitational on January 15th to support our team!

Let's go TRIBE!

So it's the week before Christmas, and finals are finally over and we're all home with our families! While we are all excited for the season, I think everyone was ready for a little break. After almost two weeks of studying, our brains were exhausted, but that didn't keep us out of the gym.  Everyone was practicing as much as they could, between studying and taking those exams, staying in shape for our first meet.  Once we come back to school and train hard for two weeks, we'll be heading to George Washington for the Lindsey Ferris Invitational on January 15.

For now we're all spending time with family and friends and getting into our gyms at home for practice, cardio, and lifting. We're using the time away to relax, because before we know it we'll be back in Williamsburg, and I know we'll all be ready to go!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

After a full semester of working out, we finally got to show off our routines and new skills at our Green and Gold Intrasquad Meet, held on Thursday, Dec. 1. Although the Green team walked away with the victory, both teams really demonstrated how hard we've been working out and all the potential this team holds as a whole. Kristin Milardo won vault, floor, and all-around; Caitlyn Cook-Fur won beam, while Allie Marko won bars. There were stellar performances among all though, and I know everyone had so much fun!

However, since the semester is coming to an end, that means it's time for final exams, Yay! We've all been studying and writing papers during our last two weeks at school. Although it's sad to leave everyone, we'll all be heading home soon, where we'll get to spend a nice, relaxing break with our families! We'll be back in the Burg on Monday, Jan. 2 for our first practice of winter break.

I know we're all so excited for the competitive season to finally start and show off all the hard work and time we've been putting in! Go Tribe!

As the Tribe returns from Thanksgiving break, we got two great practices in and our focus is now on tonight's Green and Gold intrasquad meet, which we have been gearing up for all semester. Our team is going to be split up into two separate teams to compete against each other with our two captains, Kristin Milardo and Molly Walsh as the leaders of each. We will be judged for the first time this season and are ready to show off what we have. The meet starts at 6 p.m. in our gym in the William and Mary Hall basement.  Please come out and support us!

Also, visit this site to check out the news story done on both the men's and women's teams http://www.wtkr.com/sports/williamandmary/. Go Tribe!!

With this semester winding down, we are now just TEN DAYS out from our Green and Gold competition!! We just finished up with our last full week of training before the meet, our last morning kickboxing session, and our final team lift of the semester. We then ended the week with another green vs. gold mock meet.

The teams started well on both floor and vault and then really picked up the momentum and enthusiasm heading into the last two events. Our senior, Kristin, continues to lead the way hitting routine after routine; Marko hit a great bar set finishing with her new half-in half-out dismount; Jess, Larson, and Caitlyn all continued their streak of strong bar pressure sets this year; Katie and Lindsey both hit some impressive yurchenkos; and like Molly said, it is amazing watching our freshmen out there hitting these early pressure sets. Overall, I saw some amazing fights and determination from each and every one of us. The energy in the gym was awesome, and it was great seeing so much improvement from just a week ago. I can't wait to see this carry over into the upcoming season, and especially Green and Gold in just over a week! GO GREEN!!!

Mary continues to post videos from these pressure sets as well as training, so make sure to check out the William and Mary Tribe Women's Gymnastics facebook page!! While you're there, be sure to check out our Stella & Dot holiday fundraiser. Visit www.stelladot.com/ellenbrady to find jewelry and handbags. When checking out, type in Mary Lewis as the hostess, and 50% of the profits will benefit our team!

We took a little break from gymnastics and academics last night to sit down for a nice team dinner at Mary's house. We enjoyed some delicious food, thanks to Tim and Mary, and some quality time together. It was such a nice way to get ready for this last week before break!

I know we all can't wait to head home for Thanksgiving break tomorrow and spend some time with our families and friends, but I will be looking forward to getting back. I am so thankful for all of my Tribe gymnastics family here and for what a great experience this continues to be. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Tribe Gymnastics Fans,

The team has been hard at work the past couple of weeks and it definitely showed during our mini-inter-squad we had this past Friday (Nov. 11). Although we've been doing pressure sets in the gym, Mary wanted to make those pressure sets a little more "realistic" and divided us into our teams for the entire day. The day consisted of timed warm ups, three-minute touches, and solutes before every routine; we tried to incorporate as many "meet-like" things as we could. All around, the day went very smoothly and as a team we are looking very strong with a lot of potential. By now the freshmen seem to be very well adjusted to the gym atmosphere, and for me it has been so cool watching them perform their first pressure sets - I couldn't be more proud of them for their hard work! Be sure to check out the highlight videos on our Facebook page, Mary has uploaded a good amount of videos that really show off how hard people are working in the gym!!

We took a trip down memory lane Sunday (Nov. 13) by volunteering at a little girls' club gymnastics meet at the WISC (Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex). Allie Wheeler, our senior manager, coaches the Level 4 team at the WISC and for many of them it was their first meet! I can remember my first meet like it was yesterday, and I hope we helped make their experience a little more memorable! All of the little girls seem to really look up to everyone on the team, and I think everyone on the team would agree it was a very humbling experience to work with all of them.

Well, Green and Gold is in a little over two weeks, and I can't believe how fast this semester has gone by. But, remember to check out our videos and stay tuned for the result of this week's mini-inter-squad!

Last Thursday, Tribe Gymnastics put on our brand new sparkly leos and took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg to take our team pictures! (see below)

Halloween is always fun with Tribe Gymnastics!  Mary made us treats and each class came up with a creative costume.  The freshmen dressed up as babies, the sophomores were the characters from the Wizard of Oz, the juniors were Crayons, and the seniors dressed up as bacon and eggs.  After a productive practice, we enjoyed Mary's delicious Pumpkin cheesecake and Heath Bar Brownies!

In the gym, everyone has been looking good and our routines are really starting to come together.  We have our first pressure sets of the year starting soon with Beam on Thursday and Bars on Friday!   Green and Gold is coming up!  And, the green and gold teams have been set so let the excitement start!

Classes, work, and lots of midterms occupy our time outside of the gym.  It's a busy time filled with lots of schoolwork, and figuring out what classes to take next semester.  Registration is this week and I hope everyone gets the classes they want!

That's all for now!

We all enjoyed our fall breaks, and we were off from classes on Monday and Tuesday, (Oct. 9 and 10).  It was nice to have a break!  We're back in the gym now working hard, and balancing classes.  This past Saturday, the whole team participated in the JDRF 5K.  It was a walk to raise money to find a cure for diabetes, so we all received pledge donations from our friends and family.  Thanks to everyone who donated!  We all really enjoyed the walk.  It was nice to be able to do that charity event as a team.

This week is Homecoming week!! Yay!  We are all really excited for the game on Saturday.  We'll be playing Towson, so hopefully it's a good game. :)  As a team, we are selling 50/50 raffle tickets before the game starts to fundraise for the team.  We're all very excited too that alumni from the men's and women's teams are coming to visit for Homecoming.  Melissa, Taryn, Karla, Dina and Teenie are all coming to visit, so we are looking forward to spending the weekend with them!

We have all been working hard in the gym, and are starting to work routines for this season.  Green and Gold is coming up!  Team spirit has been high, and everyone has been supportive of each other as we get our routines ready.  Let's keep that up!

I'm excited for a great season. :)

Another busy week has begun for Tribe Gymnastics-lots of midterms for everyone and four mornings in a row of morning cardio! Gotta love it! We all had a fun-filled weekend this past Friday through Sunday as our families were in town for Family Weekend! Our parents came to the gym Friday afternoon to watch us practice and we all enjoyed spending time and catching up. Saturday, our parents put together an amazing tailgate in the Yates parking lot for the football game. Molly's parents roasted a pig and all of the food was amazing! We had everything from burgers and dogs to pasta salad and pumpkin bars! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the tailgate and came to share an awesome meal with us! Despite the Tribe's loss to JMU and the persistent rain, we all had a terrific family weekend and were sad to see all of our parents leave Williamsburg.

In other news, we are currently raising money for the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Walk to Cure Diabetes. The walk will be Saturday, October 15th and we are excited to raise some money and get out there and walk for a cure. If you are interested in donating, please visit www2.jdrf.org and chose to donate to any one of us by simply typing in a first and last name of any team member or enter in the team name, which is William & Mary Women's Gymnastics under "donate to a walker". Our team goal is to raise $1,500! In addition, this weekend we will be doing the ropes course here on campus, as it was rained out a few weekends ago. Let's hope for some nice weather-pictures will follow!

Although it is only the first week of October, our Green and Gold Intrasquad is in sight and our team has been looking great in the gym! Caitlyn has been catching her jaegers and I must say that our bar group is looking pretty impressive! Katie has been becoming very consistent with her triple series on beam and Allie has been working a very cool new combination on beam as well - a wolf jump to an immediate punch front. As for myself, I have been getting back in to doing double layout full outs off bars and a new triple series on beam! Lots of exciting stuff for the Tribe!

We wish junior co-captain Molly good luck and a speedy recover as she undergoes surgery this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

One Tribe, One Family.

It's been a crazy week for the Tribe!  Freshmen finished up orientation and classes started for everyone on Wednesday.  After just two days of classes, the campus was evacuated because of Irene.  However, many of us stayed in Williamsburg and had a great time together getting through the storm.  We watched movies, played games, and spent time bonding with our teammates.  Most importantly, we all stayed safe and are ready to get back to class and into the gym.

Luckily the team was able to get in a few practices together before the storm hit.  Everyone is looking great!  We're all getting back into the swing of things and trying to get ready for official practice to start on September 14th.  The freshmen are working on adjusting to the new equipment and training in a new atmosphere.  It's so much fun practicing with the music turned up and the team cheering each other on.  One thing that I love about being a part of the Tribe is how supportive everyone is of each other, inside and out of the gym.  We're also starting cardio and lifting this week, which I'm really looking forward to.

Can't wait for a great season of Tribe Gymnastics to start!

Hey Guys!

This past week hasn't been filled with a whole lot of actual gymnastics, but that is only because it was MOVE-IN DAY on Friday! After the long drives from Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana all of us freshies are so excited to finally be unpacked, moved-in, and most importantly a part of the TRIBE!

Since some of us are just meeting each other in person for the first time, it is great to finally all be together! The sophomore girls all greeted us on our first day, the whole team surprised us with an outing, and even Tim stopped by to say "hey."

Everyone is definitely excited, and for us freshmen, a little anxious to start classes. Luckily a few us of have them together! I personally cannot wait to start practice with my new Tribe team; I'm sure everyone else will agree! Now that everyone is back in the Burg, a great year is on its way for TribeGym!

Hey everyone!

Only one more full week of summer before classes start! All of us freshmen are getting ready for move in day and the start of orientation this Friday! We are all really excited to finally get to school, meet everyone, and especially start practicing with the rest of the team. :)

The Tribe has been working really hard in the gym this summer, getting some new skills, and maintaing the rest, so that we can have a great start to official practices. Jenny and Lindsey have been training a lot in our home gym, and Jenny has been working very hard to upgrade her vault to a Hand Front Pike 1/2! Kristin was able to hit a full set on bars this week, which is really exciting! Maggie and Brandy have both been working really hard on beam: Brandy just learned a kick over front, and Maggie got a completely new 1 1/2 dismount. We have also had a lot of girls doing really well after coming back from some injuries. Carleigh was recently cleared to vault and tumble again, so she has started to flip some vaults and is doing all of her tumbling passes off of the rod floor. Allie's back is getting much better and she was able to start tumbling this week for the first time all summer! Bree is also doing really well, she flipped vaults last week for the first time since her knee surgery!

As for me, I've been working really hard in the gym, and just enjoying my last little bit of time at home. I can't believe the summer is almost over, but I am really excited to join the rest of the team at W&M! I hope everyone is having a great end to their summer as well!

Only one week left till orientation! I can't believe how fast summer went by, but I am so ready for school to start! It's been pretty crazy around my house with trying to get everything together and ready to move in.  So many clothes, so little closet space! All of the freshmen are pretty excited to get in their dorms and finally become an official Tribe member! My last week in Chicago is filled with friends and family and just saying goodbye to everyone. I'm helping my mom with Skype ~ trying to get her in the 21st Century! Leaving is bittersweet, but I can't wait to start the next chapter of my life and just enjoy William and Mary and all it has to offer. Stacia got approved for air conditioning for the dorm so that was probably the highlight of both of our weeks! Jess told me that she decorated her apartment with animal print and it sounds so cute I can't wait to see it. I know that all of the freshmen were pretty stressed out with registering for classes and are just enjoying there last days at home. I hope everyone has a great end of summer and Ill see you all at school!!

Hey Everyone!

As the summer is coming to an end, I am getting more and more anxious to come to the Burg and call it my home.   I'm sure the other rising freshmen share the same feeling!  We are all one giant step closer after last Monday's registration for classes, and shopping for all of our dorm supplies.  As for everyone, we are all trying to squeeze in as much summer-fun activities as we can, with only two weeks left of summer!

Lacy and Larson spent the last weekend in the burg moving into their apartment, and made their way to the Sunken Garden with everyone on Friday night for the triathlon. That Saturday, Durst and Lindsey went up to the burg and ate BBQ.  Maggie won a pet fish goldfish at her local county fair - I can't wait to meet it!!!   Stacia is spending the remainder of her summer training hard and soaking up the sun on the beach with friends.  Lindsey was lucky enough to spend a week in Jamaica with her family, rock climbing waterfalls and relaxing on the beach.  Kristen went to visit her sister in Oklahoma and celebrate her brother-in-law's birthday.  Larson spent the week at the beach with her family.  Marko, Lacy, Lindsey, and Durst went up to alum Mellissa Cream's house with a bunch of other alums for the weekend in Jersey.   Brandy has been training hard and working during the week, and spends her weekends camping, boating and spending time with her family and boyfriend.  She is heading to King's Island on Tuesday for some fun!  Carleigh has packed her summer schedule tight with getting school stuff together and spending time with friends, but is psyched to get the burg and enjoy some themed events with the team!!!   She is now cleared to vault and tumble after her injury, so she's starting to get back to work.

All in all, everyone has enjoyed the summer but is ready to be together again in the burg.  As for me, I'm trying to do everything I can at home and with my friends here before it is time for school.  My cousins from Chicago spent the past week at my house, so everyone loaded up the boats everyday to go fishing, to the beach, or spending time at the sand bar finding hundreds of sand dollars!  I'm also training in the gym everyday to keep in shape, and spend time with my JO teammates.  I always host a seasonal sleepover at my house for my teammates, so that will take place this upcoming week. There should be about 18 of us, or so!  One of my favorite summer activities is attending country concerts. This coming Friday, a bunch of friends and I are going to see Uncle Kracker, Billy Currington, and Kenny Chesney in Raleigh, NC!

I'm excited to get this season started; it will be awesome!  I'm counting down the days until we're all together!  I hope everyone is staying cool, and enjoying the rest of summer!

Hey Tribe Fans!

As you have read in the past entries, everyone has been busy enjoying their summer. Kristin been attending the Rockies games, she just went to the Brewers vs. Braves game most recently. Katie, Larson, Lindsey, and Lacy all made a trip down to Williamsburg this weekend to visit the infamous Ellis brothers. Most of the freshmen are gearing up for the school year as they are all out getting stuff for their dorm. They are all getting excited for college life as they just got assigned their dorm rooms, three are in Dupont & Stacia & Maggie are rooming together in Barret. Stacia is also taking sometime to relax and is enjoying her time in Florida at the beach with her family. Bree went to the Eric Church concert last week and has been keeping herself busy with gym, working, and the beach.

My summer travels have begun with my first stop in Cinci to see alum Max Sabert . We've been having a lot of fun, last night we went to the Lebanon Country Fair and I got to experience my first ever Demolition Derby! I also am taking up other sports this summer such as tennis, and today I went golfing for the first time. I definitely have to say I enjoy gymnastics more, but golf is more fun than it looks on TV. We are going to the Cincinnati Reds game later tonight against the Braves. As for next week, I will be heading to Pittsburgh to visit family and friends. This is the first summerI've spent away from Pittsburgh as my family just moved to Chapel Hill last year.

This past week, Mary just sent out our meet schedule. It has already gotten us excited for the upcoming 2012 season! It looks like we are going to be quite busy traveling every weekend, but I already can't wait! I know I'm looking forward to having a few meets in North Carolina this year, so my family is able to watch more Tribe gymnastics. Also, we will be heading to my hometown in Pittsburgh to compete at Pitt which is going to be a blast.

Hope everyone is staying cool in this global warming heat/humidity this summer!

The Tribe is gearing up for the start to a new school year ... we are down to only a month until the team is back in Williamsburg and ready for the 2011-2012 season! The Tribe gym girls have had a busy week. The freshman class girls have all been working on getting things together for their upcoming year at W&M, as they just found out their dorms last week and are now working on getting ready for class scheduling this week!  The rest of us cannot wait for them to be part of the Tribe this year!

This past weekend, I was able to take a short weekend trip down to Williamsburg in order to get furniture and decorations moved into my new apartment! I was able to show my best friend from home how beautiful the College is, and how great it is living down in Virginia! On the way down, I stopped to hang out with alumna Karla Bercaw and had a great time! Down at school, Lindsey came to visit and helped get everything settled into my new room. It made me realize how excited I am for the new school year to start, and how much I am anticipating starting another season with my amazing teammates!

As for the rest of the Tribe, summer has continued to be very eventful! Katie just started working at her gym, where she is coaching a lot of compulsory gymnastics. Jess will be heading over to the NC State Gymnastics Camp this week and to visit and practice there, where Mary will also be coaching for the week! Larson spent the weekend at Virginia Beach. Her roommate Lacy is gathering some things together before her weekend trip down to the College to get more of her belongings moved into their new apartment this upcoming weekend! I just recently saw a video of Maggie doing a triple full on floor, and it was amazing! She also just celebrated her 18th birthday over the weekend!

LETS GO TRIBE!

This past week marked the middle of summer for the Tribe. I'm actually writing this blog from William and Mary Hall, as I was in the training room this morning discussing my knee rehab. My knee has been getting better little by little, and I'm gearing up to get fully released in August. I've been able to start full sprints, tuck jumps, and jumping on the trampoline in addition to some basic gymnastics! This morning Jenny and I helped Mary coach a church group for a couple of hours. We showed them a little of what we do, and then let them try some basics. Then we practiced with Mary afterwards. It feels good to be working out in this gym again. While Mary was here with us, Tim is in North Carolina coaching the "Beach Break" camp at Bree's gym. In addition to working out in the gym, Bree has been working at an ice cream shop and making it to the beach as much as she can.

Other Tribe gymnasts have had their share of summer activities as well.  Kristin just left for Arizona to see the MLB All-Star game with her boyfriend. Lindsey just got back from a week in Jamaica with her family. Allie saw a Rascal Flatts concert with some of her friends back home. Stacia went to visit Maggie in Chicago.  Molly had a great time this past weekend celebrating her sister's wedding.

That's all for now. Hope everyone's having a great summer!!

Hi Everyone!

The first session of summer classes are finally over for Jess, Lindsey, Teenie and me.  We all really enjoyed being in Williamsburg together, working out, and learning a lot.  I think summer classes were a really good experience - I had a lot fun, was able to do gymnastics in the Burg and finally moved into my apartment.  To celebrate our last day of classes, Jess and I went on our traditional Second Street restaurant dinner with her family.  Jess also went to Busch Gardens with her family and started moving out of our apartment for the reminder of the summer.  Lindsey is also planning on living at home for the rest of the summer.  Teenie moved out of her house with her mom and sisters and drove to Jacksonville, Fla. As for me, I'm on Topsail Island, N.C. to celebrate the Fourth of July week with my family.  We went jet skiing yesterday, and let's just say I'm not a sea girl.  I'd much rather be doing flips than flying across the water at 45 miles an hour.  Next week I'll be back in the in the Burg to collect my things for the summer and back home to start working at my gym.  I hope everyone had a great Fourth!

It's summertime, sweet summertime! The Tribe gymnasts really seem to be taking advantage of their summer break by having fun and relaxing!

This past weekend Larson and Jenny were down in the Burg, as well as Taryn Saunders! Happy birthday to my roomie, Larson who just turned 19 on Sunday! Jess, Katie, and Lindsey are all finishing up their last week of summer school.

Molly is heading to Atlantic Beach for her sister's bachelorette party today for four days! Kristin has been studying for the GREs, which she'll take before the summer ends. Most of us have just continued working our summer jobs: Allie as a nanny, Carleigh as a construction worker, and I as a receptionist at doctor's office. Maggie's been trying to catch up on her tan and has been heading to the beach often!

Everyone's been working out and getting into the gym as often as they can!  Bree is slowly starting to work out again, as she's recovering from her knee injury.

It's crazy how fast this summer is going by, July 4th is already next weekend! But that only means that we'll all be back together again in the Burg sooner than we think!

Summer nights, everybody, are you with me? Holler if you're ready for some summer nights. Alright, so maybe we're not still at the concert, but last night I met up with Jess, Katie, Lacy, Larson, Lindsey, and recent Tribe gym alumnus Max Sabert in my hometown of Virginia Beach for an amazing concert by Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans. The weather was perfect, and we all had a g reat time being together again singing, dancing, and just hanging out. It was also a nice break from studying for Jess, Katie, and Lindsey who only have two more weeks of their summer classes.

It looks like all the Tribe gymnasts are finally ready for these summer nights. All of our freshmen have now officially graduated from high school and have been enjoying multiple graduation parties. Brandy has already been out a few weeks and has been busy camping and boating. She even spent the last four days living on a houseboat! Carleigh, who celebrated her 18th birthday last Thursday, is getting ready to travel to Paris soon!  That sounds awesome!

Happy birthday to my roommate Molly! She turned 20 yesterday, and is heading to the Outer Banks later this week while her sister is home.

We are all having a great summer so far while still working out and getting ready for the upcoming year. I can't wait to be back with everyone in just less than two months!!

Hope all the dads out there had a great father's day yesterday!

Tribe Gymnasts seem to be having a blast all over the U.S. right now. Our lone senior, Kristin Milardo, is spending some time with her family in Hawaii, what a great vacation! A lot of the sophomores seem to be adjusting to apartment life just fine, Lacy Cummings is actually Burg bound this upcoming weekend to get all moved into her apartment!

Our summer conditioning sheets took effect at the beginning of June, so I hope no one is getting too sore from that, but, if you are, it's all going to pay off!

Other exciting news, my roomie, Jen Ware, informed me she was going to be watching two surgeries involving the spinal cord! That's so awesome, so keep a look out for her next blog, maybe she'll have some cool stories about that!

Until next time, keep enjoying your summer!!

Summertime and the living's easy!  Hopefully everyone is having as fun of a summer as we are in Williamsburg.  Jess, Katie and my daily routine consists of class, pool time, practice, and cardio.  It is not a bad deal if you ask me!  Last week we had two visitors to Williamsburg. Molly came down for a couple of days and Taryn came for the weekend!  I spent the weekend in Virginia Beach and some of the men's gymnastics team met me down there on Saturday.  On Sunday, Taryn and I met Jenni on the beach for a free Darius Rucker concert!  The weather held up and it was a beautiful weekend.  It's supposed to be 99 degrees today in Williamsburg!!

In Ohio, Allie is preparing to start her summer job being a nanny.  Kristin is currently in Pennsylvania visiting her boyfriend and took a trip to Hershey Park on Monday where Melissa Cream met them!

Good Luck to our incoming freshmen as they finish up high school and prepare to join the TRIBE!

It's hard to believe another year has flown by and summer is already here! Watching everyone go their separate ways for summer was so weird and seeing the seniors go was so hard! We are all relieved to be done with   the semester and most of us are finally back home! Since the conclusion of classes I have done lots of traveling! I spent two days in North Carolina with Molly where we went and cheered on the baseball team as they took on NC State - in the rain. Despite the downpour we had an awe some time! I also was in Towson, Maryland for my boyfriend's last ever baseball games with the Tribe. I also got to go to my first Orioles game at Camden Yards with a bunch of friends. Both the ballpark and the city were breathtaking! Following a weekend in Baltimore, I spend three days in Virginia Beach. It was so relaxing and the weather was amazing. Such a great way to begin the summer - with friends and a trip to the beach! Tomorrow the traveling continues as I will leave for Pennsylvania and then back home to Colorado shortly after that!

The rest of the Tribe has also been doing a great deal of traveling as well. Lindsey just came back from my hometown, Colorado Springs, Colo., for her brother's Air Force Graduation! Katie also spent some time in North Carolina visiting her grandmother. Katie, Lindsey, and Jess are now back in W illiamsburg for the beginning of summer classes today!

Lastly, we wish Allie the best in her recovery from getting her wisdom teeth out!

Can't wait to check in and blog again, but that's all for now!

One Tribe. One Family.
