WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (July 19, 2012) - William and Mary standout senior cornerback B.W. Webb has been selected to the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List, which includes 20 of the nation's top defensive players in the Football Championship Subdivision. The Buchanan Award is given annually to the nation's most outstanding defensive player in the FCS.

The 2012 preseason All-American has established himself as one of the country's top cornerbacks throughout his career and earned first-team all-conference honors during each of the past two seasons. Last fall, the Newport News, Va., native finished the season with 40 tackles, 3.0 tackles for a loss and two interceptions.

One of the most-decorated players in Colonial Athletic Association history, Webb has earned six all-conference postseason honors during the past three seasons. During that time, he has totaled 11 career interceptions and currently ranks tied for eighth on W&M's all-time list.

The Tribe will open the 2012 season when it plays at Maryland on Sept. 1.
