Williamsburg - William and Mary head men's basketball coach Tony Shaver and freshman members of the Tribe team visited with Boy Scouts at Saint Bede Parish Center last week. Tribe rookies Kyle Gaillard, Andrew Pavloff and Matt Rum joined Shaver in meeting with Troop 1932 of Williamsburg on Thursday, Nov. 5.

The Tribe players and coach answered questions from the group of around 30 scouts and parents. During the time, Shaver invited some scouts forward to compare the size of their hands and feet with Tribe players. The quartet also passed out posters for the 2009-10 season, while posing for pictures and signing autographs.
The Tribe opens the 2009-10 season on the road at Connecticut on Friday, Nov. 13, as part of a two-game Northeast swing. Tip-off for the Tribe-Husky tilt is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Storrs, Conn. Along with TV, the game can be heard over the Tribe Radio Network as well as on the Web at TribeAthletics.com. The College will wrap up the swing at Harvard on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. The Green and Gold will open the home portion of its schedule on Thursday, Nov. 19, against Richmond. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at Kaplan Arena.
