Q: Why did you choose the Tribe?

I love that everyone is such a family here, and I felt like I was part of the family from day 1.

Q: Describe a moment when you felt the most Tribe pride...

Hands down the day we won the CAA title! I just remember Jeltje and I sprinting down to Anik's court when we found out she won. For most of us on the team it was our first one, and it was such an exciting feeling that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.

Q: Take us through your pre-game mental preparation routine:

My ipod goes in and the rest of the world gets shut out.

Q: What are some community activities you or your team have done?

Our team has done the NEDA walk for eating disorders, we had a wheelchair tennis night. This summer I volunteered with the Greater Arc of Williamsburg who works with special needs adults in the area.

Q: What is your intended or declared major and why?

I'm a Kinesiology and Health Sciences major. I absolutely love it. I love learning about why my body does what it does and responds the way it does in any given situation.

Q: Describe your dream job:

My goal is to eventually become an Athletic Director at the collegiate level. So my dream job would be to be working as an Athletic Director at a big Division I school like a Georgia, LSU, Stanford, etc. So I'm currently crossing my fingers in hopes that it'll happen for me.

Q: If you could play another sport at W&M what would it be and why?

I'd love to be a volleyball player. I think I need to play those sports where there is a net separating my opponent and I, which makes volleyball the perfect fit. There's always something happening each point, and that makes it so exciting. I'd love to be able to jump as high as some of them do to spike the ball. Plus it just looks like so much fun to be able to dive and roll in order to save the ball. We don't get the opportunity to dive for a ball in tennis.

Q: Favorite team tradition/activity and why?

I love that we make scrapbook pages for our seniors. Each player makes a page that then gets put into a final book and given to the seniors at our team banquet. I just think it's such a cute way to say bye to them. Yes, it's bittersweet to make them though because while you're excited to see the seniors go out and succeed in life it's very sad to see them go.

Q: Which teammate will have the most interesting job in 10 years and why?

Nina (Vulovich) will have the coolest job! She'll be designing beautiful buildings in Germany in 10 years or less I guarantee it. I just think she'll be having the time of her life over there. I just think it would be so exciting to take your craft overseas and do something wonderful with it.

Q: What animal would best describe you and why?

I have no idea what animal could possibly describe me. I do know that I'm very social. I love meeting new people and making new friends. So if there's an animal out there that isn't very big, but is pretty loud and very social then it's definitely me!

Q: What is your favorite quote or phrase?

"It's not about being who everyone else wants you to be. It's about being yourself and finding someone who loves every bit of it!"

Q: What is your favorite type of food (i.e. Chinese, Mexican, etc.)?

ITALIAN! I absolutely LOVE pasta!

Q: Favorite place you have visited or traveled to and why?

Puerto Rico was amazing. It was so fun to get to play tennis and then be on the beach with my teammates for a week.

Q: If you could sit down for lunch with anyone in the world who would it be and why?

It'd have to be the President. I wouldn't want to talk about politics with him. I would love to sit down with the leader of our country and have a normal conversation because I feel like there's more to him than just politics and it would be interesting to get to know him in setting other than the oval office.

Q: Most addicting television show?

Jersey Shore. It helps me understand exactly what kind of person I don't want to be.

Q: How will you change the world (or even just one person's world)?

I believe in the power of laughter and smiling. If nothing else my goal each day is to brighten someone's day with a smile.

Q: Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know...

This probably isn't the most "green" coping method, but to me driving is very therapeutic. If ever I'm having a bad day I get in my car and just drive. Usually only 20-30 minutes at the most. Sometimes I blast the music and sometimes I turn it off completely.  But I like to just be by myself with my thoughts on a day like that.

Q: What was your most-commented Facebook post?

Most likely a silly picture I put up from my freshman year in college.

Q: What's number one on your bucket list and why?

Going to Las Vegas is something I've always wanted to do. I feel like it's one of those crazy adventures that I just have to take. Plus who wouldn't want to go to a city that is basically one giant party.

Q: What is your best non-athletic skill?

I've always wished I was taller so I've attempted to perfect walking in heels. Like if it was normal to wear shorts, a t-shirt, and 4" heels I would do it.

Q: What is your biggest pet peeve and why?

When people ask to borrow my clothes for some reason it really bothers me. I think it's because I have a brother and so I never had to share clothes with another girl and that's why I'm so weird about it now. It's a silly pet peeve to have now that I think about it but it's something that does bother me.

Q: What is something you are afraid of?

My dream would be to become an athletic director. Because that is my dream, I think my biggest fear would be that I wouldn't achieve it. I guess at the end of the day you could say I fear failing.

Q: What is an obstacle you had to overcome in your life?

I've never had to truly face any obstacles in my life...I guess I can consider myself "lucky" for that. Kind of a silly fear I had to overcome was learning to drive. I was so scared to be behind the wheel of a car when I first started learning, and as a result I was terrible at it. I can remember times where I would get out of the car with my parents and say things like "I hate this!" or "I never want to drive again!" It's so funny to me because now it's one of my favorite things to do.
