The William and Mary women's golf team wrapped up play at the Kiawah Island Classic Tuesday, finishing 28th overall at 954 (+90).  Augusta State claimed the team trophy at 877 (+13), and Fanny Cnops took home the individual medal for UNC Greensboro after finishing her week with 2-under 214.

Leading the way for the Tribe was junior Betsy Birchall (Mountain Brook, Ala.), who carded a 77 (+5) in Tuesday's final round to improve to a tie for 77th overall, +19 (235) for the tournament.  Senior Caroline Sweet (Bowie, Md.) finished two strokes back in a tie for 91st, after her closing 81, and senior Kristen Hamel (Columbus, Mo.) was third at 242 (+26) and tied for 124th.  One stroke behind Hamel was freshman Kellie Edelblut (New Hope, Pa.), and sophomore Katy Hutcherson (Greeneville, Del.) rounded out the team effort with a final-round 82.

William and Mary will have most of the next two weeks off, before returning to action March 18-20, hosting the C&F Bank Intercollegiate at Kingsmill.
