The William and Mary men's golf team opened Easter Weekend Saturday tied for fourth after one round at Penn State's Rutherford Intercollegiate, shooting 304 (+20) to stand three strokes off the lead.  George Mason was on top of the standings after the first of three rounds in the tournament, and the Patriots' Kevin Yerks is on top of the leaderboard with an even-par 71.  Play was halted in the middle of the second round due to darkness.

Leading the way for the Tribe was freshman Charlie Kern (Seattle, Wash.), who shot 74 (+3) and is tied for sixth overall in the tournament. Patrick Leisure (Charlottesville, Va.) is two strokes back in a tie for 12th, while Jeremy Wells (Hopewell, Va.) and Tanner Taddeo (Hendersonville, Tenn.) each carded a 77 (+6) and are tied at 22nd.  Rounding out the team roster is freshman Alex Hicks (Cape May Court House, N.J.), tied for 47th after his opening-round 79 (+8).

The Rutherford Intercollegiate comes to a close on Sunday, with teams completing the second round before immediately beginning the third.
