Nine Tribe Men's Gymnasts Qualify for NCAA Championships

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (April 10, 2012) - The 14th-ranked William and Mary men's gymnastics team will be well represented at the NCAA Championships hosted by Oklahoma on April 19-21, as nine Tribe standouts have qualified to compete as individuals.

Sophomore Daniel Potemski and freshman J.J. Jindra will represent W&M as all-rounders after earning qualifying scores of 83.350 and 81.225, respectively. Potemski's impressive score ranks as the nation's 10th-best mark.

Multiple Tribe gymnasts will compete on pommel horse and high bar. Freshmen Jason Wang (13.875) and Peter Ten Eyck (13.837) qualified on pommel horse, while sophomore Sam Patterson (13.387) and junior Kris Yeager (13.150) will compete on high bar.

W&M will also be represented by sophomore Landon Funiciello on floor (14.225), Steve Deutsch on rings (14.125) and junior Futa Ikeda on parallel bars (13.800).
