The William and Mary men's golf team brought its season to a close Sunday at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, improving to a tie for sixth overall at 907 (+55).  The Tribe finished just four strokes out of third place, and made up a six-stroke deficit on Delaware to tie the Blue Hens in the final standings.  UNCW won the team title by two strokes over Georgia State, 884-886 (+32 to +34), while Delaware's Greg Matthias was the individual titlist by a single stroke over Davin White of Georgia State, 217 (+4) to 218 (+5).

Freshman Alex Hicks (Cape May Court House, N.J.) was the Tribe's top golfer this weekend, finishing with a one-over 72 on Sunday to take 13th overall, at 224 (+11).  Sophomore Michael Bekken (Blacksburg, Va.) had a 73 in the final round, and tied for 20th at 228 (+15).  Classmate Tanner Taddeo (Hendersonville, Tenn.) and junior Jeremy Wells (Hopewell, Va.) were among the players tied for 32nd at 232 (+19), Taddeo after carding 76 in the round and Wells after his 79.  Rounding out the team effort was freshman Charlie Kern (Seattle, Wash.), who tied for 42nd overall at 235 (+22).
