WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - During the summer months, a number of William and Mary men's tennis players have enjoyed success on the courts, both nationally and internationally. In total, four different Tribe players claimed individual titles in either singles or doubles.

Junior Jamie Whiteford spent the summer competing in tournaments throughout Europe, and the three-time All-CAA player claimed the singles title at the Ardres Championship in Ardres, France.

Junior Ben Guthrie won a number of events in Texas and also played in some satellite events in England. The Plano, Texas, native won a pair of Men's Open Singles Tournaments and claimed a doubles crown in Texas, while working on his fitness and serve. During his time in England, Guthrie qualified for the main draw of the Felixstowe British Tour Event before dropping a first-round nail-biter.

A quintet of Tribe players took part in the ITA Summer Circuit. Junior John Banks competed in a trio of events in the Mid-Atlantic Region, while incoming freshmen Austin Davidow, Scott Huang and Matt Waddell also participated in Mid-Atlantic events. At the Virginia Tech event, Banks won a pair of singles matches to earn a berth in the round of 16.
