WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - With the impending weather from Hurricane
Sandy expected in the Mid-Atlantic Region, the William and Mary athletics
department announces changes to its weekend schedule.
The Tribe volleyball match
against George Mason, originally scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m., has been moved
to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Kaplan Arena. The Tribe lacrosse alumni
game, slated for Busch Field at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, has been moved up to 10
a.m. at the same location. The W&M field hockey contest
against Old Dominion, which was slated for noon on Sunday, Oct. 28, has been
moved to start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Busch Field.
All other W&M athletic events
will remain as scheduled. Included in the weekend schedule are: the CAA Cross
Country Championships at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg on Saturday,
Oct. 27, beginning at 9:45 a.m.; Tribe football against Maine at 3:30 p.m. on
Saturday; and men's soccer at 7 p.m. against Delaware on Saturday night. A
reminder that the Tribe Athletics TV men's soccer broadcast for Saturday night
has been cancelled as well.
