WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - On the opening day of the Wake Forest Spring Invitational, the William and Mary men's tennis team racked up a perfect 3-0 doubles ledger and saw three singles players win their opening round matches. Senior Adrian Vodislav, junior Ben Guthrie and sophomore Aaron Chaffee each posted wins in both singles and doubles on Friday afternoon for the Green and Gold.

All three Tribe doubles teams earned victories to garner a spot in the quarterfinals of the 16-team draw on Saturday. Guthrie and Vodislav posted a resounding 8-2 victory over the Liberty team of Siim Tuus and Stan Vaughn in the first round for their first victory of the season. The pair is 2-0 over their careers and will face the tournament's No. 1 seed of Wake Forest's Amogh Prabhakar and David Hopkins at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Playing together for the first time, junior John Banks and freshman Scott Huang pulled out a tiebreaker win, 8-7 (5), over the Kennesaw State duo of Louis Theodor and Tobi Menhofer on Friday. Chaffee and sophomore Will Juggins rolled to an 8-1 victory over the Liberty pair of Guillem Secanell and Sergio Mourelo for their second triumph of the season. Huang and Banks will face the Wake Forest team of John Ho and Adam Lee in the quarterfinals, while Chaffee and Juggins drew the Demon Deacon twosome of Danny Kreyman and Sam Bloom. All doubles quarterfinals are schedule for 10 a.m. on Saturday.

In singles competition, Guthrie continued his dominance with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Wake Forest's Jaya Billa. The Tribe junior upped his team-leading singles ledger to 8-4 as he won for the fifth time in his last six matches. Guthrie will face nationally-ranked No. 59 Amogh Prabhakar of Wake Forest in the second round on Saturday.

Vodislav won his second singles match of the season, downing Kennesaw State's Louis Theodro, 6-2, 6-3, while Chaffee recorded his fifth triumph of the season in three sets over Alexander Pena of Kennesaw State. After Chaffee and Pena split the first two sets by matching scores of 6-2, the Tribe sophomore outlasted his Owl competitor in a third-set tiebreaker, 7-6 (6). Vodislav faces Wake Forest's Morgan Mays on Saturday, while Chaffee will meet the Demon Deacon's Sam Bloom.
