WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William and Mary women's soccer head coach John Daly has announced the signing of five players to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. The five-player class will join the Green and Gold in the fall of 2013, as it joins a Tribe squad that captured the regular season Colonial Athletic Association title in 2012.
The incoming class includes: Corinne Giroux (Ashburn, Va.), Clara Logsdon (Clifton, Va.), Olivia Camper (Virginia Beach, Va.), Haley Kavanaugh (Chesterfield, Mo.) and Grace Smith (Columbia, S.C.).
Corinne Giroux
Central Midfielder - Ashburn, Va. (Stone Bridge H.S.)
Coach Daly on Giroux:
"Corinne possess strong abilities in the
air, she plays her club soccer for FC Virginia, which is a member of the Elite
Clubs National League."
Clara Logsdon
Defender - Clifton, Va. (Centreville H.S.)
Coach Daly on Logsdon:
"Clara has very good speed and
athleticism. She is a very mobile player. Clara, like Corinne (Giroux), plays
her club soccer with FC Virginia."
Olivia Camper
Defender - Virginia Beach, Va. (Cox H.S.)
Coach Daly on Camper:
"Olivia plays her club soccer for the
Beach FC. Her exceptional height allows
for a commanding presence in air. She is
the younger sister of Tribe sophomore Emory Camper."
Haley Kavanaugh
Attacking Midfielder/Forward - Chesterfield, Mo. (St.
Joseph's Academy)
