WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William and Mary men’s tennis senior Adrian Vodislav was named the Colonial Athletic Association Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday. Vodislav clinched both ends of the Tribe’s CAA doubleheader against James Madison and Delaware. It marks the fourth time in the last five weeks that the Tribe received a CAA honor and the fifth time overall this season.

Vodislav earned the first CAA Singles Player of the Week honor of his career and his second weekly league distinction after being named part of the doubles team of the week last season. He is the second Tribe singles player of the week in 2013, joining junior Ben Hoogland who garnered the honor on March 6. On March 13 and 26, senior Anton Andersson and sophomore Aaron Chaffee earned the CAA Doubles Team of the Week accolades, while junior John Banks and freshman Scott Huang took home the award on Feb. 20.

Vodislav won 12 of the final 14 games in a come-from-behind, three-set win, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, over James Madison’s Florent Sentenac. His victory at No. 5 clinched the Tribe’s 4-3 win over the Dukes. Playing at the No. 3 position against Delaware, Vodislav recorded his 10th win of the year, defeating Nolan Gelman, 7-5, 6-3. Vodislav has won four of his last five matches, including three in a row.

The Tribe returns to action with its final two home matches of the 2013 slate against Richmond on April 10 and Old Dominion on April 13. Both contests are slated to be played at the Millie West Tennis Facility with the tilt against the Spiders set for 5 p.m. and the ODU match coming at 2 p.m. W&M will host the 2013 CAA Tennis Championship at the Millie West Tennis Facility, April 19-21.
