WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – While a majority of college students spent their summer at various internships or jobs, a group of Tribe baseball players were hard at work in summer baseball leagues throughout the country.

Collegiate summer baseball leagues span all across the country and try to simulate a two-month stretch of minor league baseball life for college athletes. Meaning, about 60 games sandwiched into a two-month stretch, hitting with wood bats,  and long bus rides up and down the country for road games.

Below is a summary and stats of how the 13 members of the Tribe faired in their respective leagues.

John Sheehan/Senior/RHP
Brockton Rox
Futures Collegiate Baseball League

Sheehan (pictured, right) made 20 appearances with one start this summer with the Brockton Rox, as he helped them to the first round of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League Playoffs. The Westwood, Mass. native finished the season with a 3-3 record and five saves. He logged 39 innings, only allowed 25 hits and struck out 45 batters. Sheehan was named to the Futures Collegiate Baseball League Postseason All Star team.
