WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Members of the William and Mary men's basketball team took
time away from summer classes and practice to take part in an event in the
Williamsburg community on Tuesday. Juniors Kyle Gaillard and Brandon Britt,
sophomore Tom Schalk and the Griffin took part in a summer basketball camp at
the Quarterpath Recreation Center.
After talking with camp members about the importance of academics and their journeys to William and Mary, the Tribe players put the campers through drills. Campers had the chance to pick up fundamental skills from the W&M student-athletes and took part in competitions like knockout and other shooting games. The Griffin also took part in drills and greeted with the kids. Following the camp, the Tribe players signed autographs for the campers.
