WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William and Mary football team will square off against a nationally ranked opponent for the second consecutive week when it hosts No. 19/16 James Madison for homecoming this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Live video and audio of the broadcast, as well as live stats, will be available at TribeAthletics.com. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on the Tribe's flagship stations 92.3 FM The Tide and 107.9 Bach FM.

Tickets are no longer available, as the game is sold out.

In a series that began in 1978, JMU has won 20 of the 35 all-time meetings. However, W&M owns a 10-9 advantage in the series in games played in Williamsburg. The Tribe and Dukes have met twice before on homecoming, as W&M earned a 24-3 win in 2009 and lost 28-22 in 1987.

The last three matchups between W&M and JMU have been tightly contested, as all three games have been decided by less than a touchdown. The recent matchups reversed a trend that developed during the prior four years when the average margin of victory was 20 points.

The Tribe enters this weekend’s contest with a perfect 3-0 record at home this season and has won 16 of its last 22 games played at Zable Stadium.

W&M owns one of the nation’s top defenses and currently ranks third nationally in scoring defense (15.0) and eighth in total defense (303.6).

Saturday’s game will mark the second consecutive week the Tribe will face an opponent coming off a bye, as JMU had an open date last weekend. The Dukes own a 5-2 record overall and a 2-1 mark in league play. JMU has been effective limiting opposing teams’ rushing attacks and ranks seventh nationally in rushing defense (97.0).
