Q: Why did you choose
the Tribe?
A: Because it's one of the best schools in the nation,
and I wanted to be part of such an incredible gymnastics team!
Q: Describe a moment
when you felt the most Tribe pride...
A: At 2012 USAG Championships, before our last event we all huddled
together and got so pumped to finish the meet strong. It reinforced the sense
of unity and brought us together as a team at a crucial part of the meet.
Q: Take us through
your pre-game mental preparation routine:
A: I just try to stay calm and not get overly stressed.
While driving to the arena I usually play rap music in the car to pump me up, but before my
events, I listen to "Let It Be" to calm the nerves.
Q: What are some
community activities you or your team has done?
A: We participate in a huge community canned food drive every winter
break. It's always a huge success. We also volunteer at an annual gymnastics
meet the Williamsburg Gymnastics team holds.
Q: What is your
intended or declared major and why?
A: I plan on majoring in psychology because I took AP psych in
high school, and just loved it.
Q: Describe your dream
job:
A: Anything that makes me happy! (...and pays well)
Q: If you could play
another sport at W&M what would it be and why?
A: Probably basketball, because I'm tall and its always
fun to play.
Q: Favorite team
tradition/activity and why?
A: Before every meet we all get pumped up right outside the arena, and
then do the team haka when we get inside
Q: Which teammate will
have the most interesting job in 10 years and why?
A: Without a doubt, Sam Patterson will have the most interesting job.
He has so many options to choose from, because his interests are so diverse
(music, economics, etc).
Q: What animal would
best describe you and why?
A:
I think a monkey describes me well because I love to swing
around high bar!
Q: What is your favorite
quote or phrase?
A: "Never put off till tomorrow what you can do
today"
Q: What is your
favorite type of food (i.e. Chinese, Mexican, etc.)?
A: Cereal is my favorite kind of food,...classy, right?
Q: Favorite place you
have visited or traveled to and why?
A: We had a meet in Arizona last year and we were able to visit the
Grand Canyon. That was such an awesome place, and we got really good handstand
pictures on the edge of it!
Q: If you could sit
down for lunch with anyone in the world who would it be and why?
A: Sarah Silverman because her comedy routines are
hilarious and always make me laugh.
Q: Most addicting
television show?
A: "FRIENDS"... Even though it's over, I still
always watch the re-runs.
Q: How will you change
the world (or even just one person's world)?
A: One step at a time...
Q: Tell us something
about yourself that most people don't know...
A: I have a very diverse taste in music.
Q: What was your
most-commented Facebook post?
A: The post that said I was accepted to William & Mary!
Q: What's number one
on your bucket list and why?
A: I want to drive across the country one day because it
would be amazing to see the country that way.
Q: What is your best
non-athletic skill?
A:
it's really embarrassing, but I can write anything on an etch-a-scetch. I
watched the movie "Elf" and that gave me the idea to try to do it.

A:
Bree Gawron (on the women's gymnastics team) is my favorite to follow on
Twitter, she just has the best tweets!!!
Q: What is your
biggest pet peeve and why?
A:
When people are rudely opinionated because it's always good to
see other people's perspectives.
Q: What is something
you are afraid of?
A:
Snakes terrify me!
Q: What is an obstacle
you had to overcome in your life?
A:
I've grown up with a mother who has severe medical problems.
Health scares can be pretty intense and she hasn't been able to do things we
take for granted. It's taught me to appreciate the little things in life.
