Q: Why did you choose the Tribe?
When I visited campus, I immediately felt at home. I wanted to leave Louisiana for a different college experience, and I was welcomed by the guys on the team. Being able to continue gymnastics and the top-notch academics makes the Tribe a perfect fit for me.

Q: Describe a moment when you felt the most Tribe pride...
During Opening Convocation, I was one of the first people to walk through the Wren Building. Everyone welcoming the freshmen to the Tribe with cheers and high fives was amazing. The guys on the team picked me up and threw me in the air - I wasn't expecting that, it was such a rush!

Q: Take us through your pre-game mental preparation routine:
I usually eat some chicken and visualize my routines in my head a couple times. I know the work I've been putting in during practice will show up in competition.

Q: What are some community activities you or your team has done?
Every Saturday the team helps coach the Williamsburg Gymnastics kids. Everyone has to start somewhere, and it's fun to know that I started gymnastics just like every one of those kids. Being able to share my love of the sport with them is very rewarding.

Q: What is your intended or declared major and why?
I'm thinking about a double major in Chemistry and French.

Q: Describe your dream job:
Any job where I would be able to travel and experience different cultures.

Q: If you could play another sport at W&M what would it be and why?
Definitely Lacrosse... I could tell people that I speak softly, but carry a big stick.

Q: Favorite team tradition/activity and why?
I like team meals at the caf. Everyone can catch up and relax outside of the gym.

Q: Which teammate will have the most interesting job in 10 years and why?
Blake Erickson. He's a funny guy and he'll be doing a lot of traveling (he's an IR major) He also speaks French and Mandarin Chinese ... I mean how cool is that?

Q: What animal would best describe you and why?
A squirrel because they are fast and agile - and always seem to be munching on something.

Q: What is your favorite quote or phrase?
"If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done." - Thomas Jefferson

Q: What is your favorite type of food (i.e. Chinese, Mexican, etc.)?
Any type of Asian buffet... I'll go crazy at the sushi bar!

Q: Favorite place you have visited or traveled to and why?
I visited one of my French friends for two weeks in Paris this past summer. Being able to live at his house and learning the ins and outs from a native's perspective was an all-around amazing experience. Being able to speak French was also a huge plus, it gets you even more immersed in the culture than you would be otherwise.

Q: If you could sit down for lunch with anyone in the world who would it be and why?
Jennifer Carpenter, who plays Debra Morgan on Dexter. Her acting is very real and down-to-earth. Plus, she's really pretty!

Q: Most addicting television show?
Dexter on Showtime by far. It's exciting, suspenseful, and full of plot twists. What's not to love about a vigilante serial killer?

Q: How will you change the world (or even just one person's world)?
I like laughing and making other people laugh. Even something as small as that can have a positive impact on someone's day.

Q: Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know...
I've had gymnastics roles in The Nutcracker and Cinderella with Baton Rouge Ballet Theater for many years.

Q: What was your most-commented Facebook post?
"Dear Neal: 'Welcome to the Tribe!' - The Admissions Committee.
Accepted to William and Mary!"

Q: What's number one on your bucket list and why?
To take a ride in the "Vomit Comet" and enjoy weightless bliss

Q: What is your best non-athletic skill?
I have mad French-rapping skills. In English, not so much.

Q: What is your biggest pet peeve and why?
Listening to people ask Siri stupid questions.... It's only entertaining if you're doing it yourself!

Q: What is something you are afraid of?
Getting lost in an unfamiliar location. The maps application on iPhone is my best friend.

Q: What is an obstacle you had to overcome in your life?
Being a dwarf in a world full of giants.
