The William and Mary men's track and field team braved Saturday's general wind and rain up and down the East Coast to take part in the Kent Taylor Invitational at North Carolina, and came away with three IC4A qualifications on the day.

Hammer Throw
The day's first event was the hammer throw, where senior Zach Jordan (Dublin, Ohio) once again surpassed the IC4A barrier with his fourth-place throw of 54.45m (178-8).

1,500m Run
The other two qualifying marks both came in the 1,500m run.  Senior Brian Sklodowski (Newark, Del.) ran a season's-best 3:47.54 for 11th, and sophomore John Muller (LaGrangeville, N.Y.) cut nearly nine-seconds off of his previous career-best to run 3:50.64.

3,000m Run
In the 3,000m, freshman Rad Gunzenhauser (Pittsburgh, Pa.) requalified himself to the USAT&F Junior Championships, taking third in 8:37.72.  Classmate Joshua Mercado (Citrus Heights, Calif.) was right behind him in 8:39.25 for fourth place.

110m Hurdles
In the high hurdles, junior Matt Clark (Richmond, Va.) continued to edge closer to the sub-15 barrier, running a career-fast 15.01 seconds in the prelims before taking fourth in the finals later Saturday evening.  Clark is 10th all-time at W&M in the event.

Discus
In the discus, senior Dan Klatzkin (Gaithersburg, Md.) continued his tune-up for next month's CAA Championships by taking fifth with a throw of 44.50m (146-0).

3,000m Steeplechase
Junior Liam Anastasia-Murphy (Gloucester, Mass.) shook off rust in the steeplechase, taking fifth in 9:29.30.  It was his first race in the event in over 11 months.

Next weekend finds William and Mary at the James Madison Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
