The William and Mary men's track and field team began its week at the Penn Relays Thursday night, collecting six IC4A qualifications in four events so far at the world's largest track meet.  Events were delayed 90 minutes Thursday night after a line of thunderstorms went through Philadelphia around noon.

3,000m Steeplechase
In the steeplechase, Liam Anastasia-Murphy (Gloucester, Mass.) ran the best time this season with his 9:11.90 clocking to take 10th.  He qualified for the IC4A Championships with the performance, and leads the CAA by six seconds heading into next week's conference championships.

5,000m Run
In the 5,000m, senior Lewis Woodard (Charlotte, N.C.) was eighth in the championship section with a time of 14:15.35, qualifying for the IC4A Championships.  Redshirt-freshman Josh Hardin (Sterling, Va.) also qualified for IC4As, running an easy 14:31.59.

10,000m Run
In the 10,000m, senior Jon Grey (Lancaster, Pa.) ran 29:56.18 in his first race in 11 months, taking eighth and qualifying for the IC4A Championships.  His time ranks him 29th in the East, and second in the conference so far this spring.  Junior Tom Burke (Edina, Minn.) was 14th, running 30:38.69 to also surpass the IC4A standard.

400m Hurdles
Senior Chris McIntosh (Owings Mill, Md.) ran in the 400m hurdles early Friday morning, coming across the line in 53.65 seconds to break the IC4A qualifying barrier for the third time this spring.

The Penn Relays continue later today with the distance medley relay, scheduled to go off at 4 p.m.
