Q: Why did you choose the Tribe?
I chose the Tribe because I wanted an intermingling between serious athletics and serious academics.
Q: Describe a moment when you felt the most Tribe pride...
The moment I felt the most Tribe Pride was on a team trip to Ireland last spring break. Being in a foreign country with the team helped me understand what being on an athletic team at William and Mary is all about—camaraderie.
Q: Take us through your pre-game mental preparation routine:
I eat a healthy breakfast, make sure I’ve got everything I’ll need for a day at the course, and then listen to Stevie Wonder until it’s go time.
Q: Do you belong to any other clubs, groups, or organizations?
I also belong to William and Mary Students for Belize Education—a Branch Out International Service trip to Belize every year during winter break.
Q: What are some community activities you or your team have done?
Last year Tribe Golf, following the initiative of Spencer Kushner, founded Tribe Birdies for Breast Cancer. All proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation to fund research and educational programs for breast cancer awareness.

I’m not sure what I’m going to major in yet but it will probably be one of the social sciences.

Soccer or track. I like running.
Q: Favorite team tradition/activity and why?

Ethiopian food.
