Q: Why did you choose the Tribe?
I always knew I wanted to go to college in Virginia or close to home and William and Mary has so much to offer. It has a prestigious reputation, strong athletic program, and a great support system for student athletes.
Q: Describe a moment when you felt the most Tribe pride...
My sophomore year our last game of the season we beat VCU in a really close match. It was back and forth the whole time but our team really pushed and won. That game was probably one of the biggest wins of our season because VCU is always such a tough team.
Q: Take us through your pre-game mental preparation routine:
We all get to the locker room pretty early and hang out and prepare for the night's match. I like to be there early so I can lie down and forget about everything about the day and just be relaxed and get ready for the match.
Q: Do you belong to any other clubs, groups, or organizations?
I am a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and on SAAC.
Q: What are some community activities you or your team have done?
Every semester as a team we hold a clinic for younger kids at Quarterpath to teach them a few beginners skills of volleyball.
Q: What is your intended or declared major and why?
Kinesiology. I don't know yet exactly what I want to do after college so I choose the major I am most interested in. I like working with people and being involved in sports so hopefully I can figure out a career that incorporates both.
Q: Describe your dream job:
Definitely a soccer mom.
Q: If you could play another sport at W&M what would it be and why?
Probably tennis. I have never been involved on a sports team that you rely solely on yourself. I think that would be a different experience playing a sport just by myself.
Q: Favorite team tradition/activity and why?
Locker tags. During preseason at one of our night meetings we get to be creative and make tags for our lockers. It's fun because everyone gets really into making their own and each year yours continues to stay up after the year is over. Like the seniors have four different tags representing their four years. Once you graduate you leave your senior one up so in our locker room we have so many different tags from girls in the past so its really cool to see something the girls before us left behind.
Q: Which teammate will have the most interesting job in 10 years and why?
Moni (Stanciauskas), she will solve many unanswered medical problems. I'm sure she will become famous introducing a new vaccine or medicine.
Q: What animal would best describe you and why?
Probably my dog Maxx, he is always sleeping.
Q: What is your favorite quote or phrase?
Practice how you play.
Q: What is your favorite type of food (i.e. Chinese, Mexican, etc.)?
Mexican food and seafood.
Q: Favorite place you have visited or traveled to and why?
I have been to Ireland twice and I am absolutely obsessed. I went once with my family and once through school and both of the trips were so different but both so much fun. I have a lot of family that lives there so it's really cool to meet them and see what their life is like. The people there are all so nice so it's hard to find any problems with Ireland!
Q: If you could sit down for lunch with anyone in the world who would it be and why?
Amanda Bynes. She's the Man is my absolute favorite movie and I think she is hilarious so I'm sure I would be laughing the whole time.
Q: Most addicting television show?
Q: Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know...
I have lived in four different states.
